Systems Engineer

Tharros is seeking aSystems Engineer specializing in Cyberspace Systems to support NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA.

This position provides systems and mission engineering expertise supporting the development, integration, modernization, security, and sustainment of cyberspace capabilities, enterprise software applications, and cyber-enabled mission systems throughout the full system lifecycle.

The position requires a strong understanding of cyberspace systems engineering, cyber mission architectures, enterprise software systems, secure system design, cloud environments, microservices, big data, machine learning, and complex data integration.

Projects include engineering support for software-intensive DoD cyberspace systems that integrate information from numerous standard and non-standard data sources, perform correlation and analytics, and deliver actionable information to support operational decision-making.

Requirements Develop Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Interface Change Requests (ICDs), and Interface Design Specifications (IDS) for weapons control systemsDevelop Weapon Specifications (WS) and other system design/integration documents for surface combat, control, and situational awareness systemsSupport weapon and combat system certification processes, including self-certification criteriaPerform system analysis and requirements decomposition for weapons control and combat systemsSupport system integration testing and validation activitiesParticipate in technical design reviews, configuration control boards, and working groupsMaintain requirements traceability from specifications to design documentationSupport shipboard system integration and fleet deployment eventsDocument test results, engineering analyses, and system performance assessments
