Mechanic – Lead Maintenance and Repair for Agricultural and Specialized Site Equipment

Job Overview

* Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000 – $100,000+ per year (Based on experience).


* Location: Webster, SD.


* Job/Employment Type: Full Time.


* Schedule: Monday – Friday, Weekends, and Overtime.


* Project Scope: Landscaping / Hardscaping (Residential, Commercial, Government, or Federal).


* Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

How You Will Make an Impact


* Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a fleet of agricultural and light-duty construction equipment.


* Execute rigorous preventative maintenance schedules to maximize the lifespan and safety of specialized erosion control machinery.


* Overhaul critical components and systems to prevent field breakdowns during high-stakes government and commercial builds.


* Maintain detailed service records and inventory logs to track parts usage and equipment health across all company assets.


* Collaborate with field operations to provide rapid mechanical support and troubleshooting for on-site equipment failures.


* Support erosion control operations by assisting with equipment modifications and other duties as assigned to meet project goals.

Required Qualifications & Experience


* Knowledge in mechanical repair with a specific emphasis on agricultural and light-duty construction equipment.


* Strong proficiency in troubleshooting diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and advanced electrical diagnostics.


* Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel to project sites for emergency field repairs.


* Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a shop environment effectively.


* Physical stamina to handle heavy components and work in various outdoor and shop conditions.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


* 1+ year of previous experience


* Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for transporting equipment or mobile service units.


* Previous experience maintaining specialized erosion control equipment such as hydro-mulchers or wattle machines.


* Formal vocational training or manufacturer-specific certifications for major agricultural or construction brands.
