Job Overview

Industrial Piping & Welding LLC (IPW) is hiring an experienced and safety-focused Industrial Pipe Welder to support mechanical and industrial piping projects throughout the Wasatch Front.

This role involves high-precision TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper piping systems in mechanical rooms, boiler systems, and industrial facilities.

We are looking for a professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, can meet B31.3 code standards, and works well as part of a team in demanding job site environments.

Key Responsibilities



* Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) pipe welding


* Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper piping systems


* Produce welds that meet B31.3 code requirements and pass X-ray inspection


* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols


* Prepare pipe and materials for welding, including fit-up and tack welding


* Operate welding equipment and power tools safely


* Work closely with pipefitters and field crews


* Maintain clean and safe job sites


* Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures

Qualifications



* Required:
+ 4 to 5 years of industrial pipe welding experience
+ Strong proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding
+ Ability to pass a B31.3 weld test to X-ray standards
+ Solid blueprint and welding symbol interpretation skills
+ High attention to detail and quality
+ Physically able to lift materials and work in industrial environments


* Preferred:
+ Experience welding in mechanical rooms or boiler systems
+ Background in pipe fabrication and fitting
