Pay Scale: $85,000.00 plus per year based on experience plus Performance Bonus

Fox Construction Inc., Steamboat Springs longest standing general contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator and Project Manager to oversee high end residential and commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This dual role opportunity puts you at the center of planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the exceptional quality standards we are known for.

You will work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to build lasting structures and lasting relationships across the Yampa Valley.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating and Preconstruction


* Prepare detailed cost estimates at all design stages including conceptual, design development, and construction documents.


* Manage full bid and RFP processes, including scopes of work and subcontractor selection.


* Perform cost analysis and value engineering reviews.


* Lead design build preconstruction meetings and early phase planning.


* Issue letters of intent, negotiate subcontracts, and coordinate early project deliverables.

Project Management


* Lead project execution from start to finish, including mobilization, construction, and closeout.


* Collaborate with site superintendents to manage schedules, safety, and quality control.


* Conduct routine jobsite visits and resolve field issues proactively.


* Host weekly subcontractor meetings and owner architect contractor OAC sessions.


* Track change orders, budgets, and subcontractor performance metrics.

Client Relations and Closeout


* Manage final walkthroughs, punch lists, and client handover.


* Oversee preparation of operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and as built documentation.


* Lead one year warranty check ins and ensure client satisfaction.


* Participate in internal post project reviews to refine best practices.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

Required


* Education: Bachelor degree in Construction Management or a related field.


* Industry Tenure: 10 plus years in estimating and project management roles within residential or commercial construction.
