Project Superintendent – Lead High-Impact Ohio Government & Commercial Builds

Job Overview:

* Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 - $110,000 per year plus Profit Sharing and Performance Bonuses.


* Location: Walton Hills, OH (Statewide Travel Required).

The Opportunity

You will serve as the primary on-site leader, driving the successful execution of complex commercial and government construction projects across Ohio.

This role offers the autonomy to manage multi-trade sites independently while being part of a young, winning team hungry for growth.

You will make a tangible impact by delivering critical infrastructure for state agencies while mentoring field crews and maintaining elite safety standards.

How You Will Make an Impact



* Direct all daily on-site construction activities from initial notice to proceed through final project closeout.


* Coordinate and sequence diverse subcontractors and self-performed crews to ensure strict adherence to project timelines.


* Maintain continuous on-site supervision to guarantee compliance with OFCC and agency-specific requirements.


* Interpret complex contract drawings and specifications daily to ensure precision in every installation.


* Resolve real-time field conflicts and technical discrepancies to prevent project delays or budget overruns.


* Enforce a culture of safety by conducting daily toolbox talks and rigorous OSHA-compliant site inspections.


* Foster strong professional relationships with facility staff and agency representatives at every project site.

Required Qualifications & Experience



* 7+ years of progressive field supervision experience in commercial or government construction.


* At least 5 years of experience as a lead Superintendent with full responsibility for projects valued over $1 Million.


* Proven ability to manage multi-trade projects independently with minimal daily oversight from superiors.


* Deep proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.


* Valid driver’s license and the absolute willingness to travel up to 80% of the time throughout Ohio.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience



* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.


* Direct field experience with Ohio agencies such as ODRC, ODNR, ODOT, or projects under OFCC contract terms.


* Demonstrated knowledge of Ohio prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll compliance.


* Proficiency using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or CMiC.
