Job Overview


* Company: Southern Contracting, LLC.


* Salary/Pay Rate: $30 – $35 per hour + performance bonuses.


* Location: Biloxi, MS; Newbern, TN; or Dunkirk, MD (Travel Required).


* Job/Employment Type: Full Time.


* Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional overtime required).


* Project Scope: Commercial, Civil, and Sitework.


* Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.

How You Will Make an Impact


* Supervise and lead specialized concrete crews to ensure the highest quality of project delivery.


* Coordinate daily jobsite activities and delegate crew assignments to maintain strict project timelines.


* Interpret complex blueprints and construction plans to guide precise forming and pouring procedures.


* Enforce rigorous company safety standards and OSHA compliance to protect every team member on-site.


* Execute daily field reports and documentation to provide full transparency to project stakeholders.


* Mentor and train junior crew members to elevate the team's technical proficiency and workmanship.


* Resolve real-time logistical and technical obstacles to prevent delays in the construction schedule.

Required Qualifications & Experience


* Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience specifically within concrete construction.


* Proven ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications.


* Deep technical understanding of concrete forming, finishing, and curing techniques.


* Strong communication skills and the organizational ability to manage field documentation.


* Absolute willingness to travel to various project assignments as required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


* Demonstrated experience in commercial, civil, or federal sitework projects.


* Prior experience conducting formal safety meetings and toolbox talks.


* Advanced knowledge of equipment coordination and subcontractor management.
