Engineer I - Transmission Services Salary range: $70,320 – $87,895
Overview
The Engineer I – Transmission Services is responsible for performing the modeling of the SPP electrical transmission system, engineering analyses supporting Transmission Services, and coordination of any special studies for Southwest Power Pool, Inc.
Additionally, the Engineer I is expected to work closely within SPP and with SPP Tariff Customers, SPP Transmission Owner personnel, outside consultants, and other Transmission Providers.
Core Responsibilities
* The Engineer I is expected to be competent with the administrative and communication tools for word processing, spread sheet development, timekeeping, etc.
The incumbent is expected to develop fundamental understanding of transmission system concept and gain knowledge of software associated with area of responsibility.
* As directed by the lead engineer, senior staff, or supervisor, the Engineer I should be prepared to enthusiastically complete specific assignments directed by ad hoc stakeholder/committees, transmission planning services, Tariff studies or network modeling and engineering data coordination...
