Security Infrastructure Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


* Plan and execute patching/remediation programs for endpoints, servers, middleware, and applications, working directly with client or internal infrastructure teams.


* Translate vulnerability findings into actionable remediation plans, using asset context and threat intelligence to prioritize patching efforts.


* Deploy and validate patches or configurations using enterprise tools and client processes, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.


* Maintain remediation records and exception tracking, reporting on progress toward risk-reduction goals.


* Support automation and process improvements to increase patching and remediation speed, consistency, and coverage.


* Collaborate with security, operations, and DevOps teams to integrate patching into CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) workflows.


* Monitor and analyze security logs and vulnerability data to identify emerging threats and refine patching strategies.


* Provide technical leadership in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring security controls and patching processes are effective across diverse platforms.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 


* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.


* Technical expertise in network security, vulnerability management, and patch deployment.


* Minimum of three years IT related experience.


* Experience with enterprise security tools, asset management systems, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO).


* Problem-solving and analytical skills to assess risks and recommend remediation actions.


* Scripting languages for automation of deployments.


* Strong communication skills for translating technical findings into business-friendly remediation plans.


* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
