Imaging Fulfillment Specialist, Breast Center
JOB SUMMARY: Imaging Fulfillment Specialist Breast Center will work closely with The Breast Center physicians/radiologists and clinical staff, perform and manage accurate and efficient image and record management, follow through on critical imaging and patient records requests, work with the Imaging Fulfillment Specialists (Breast Center and Diagnostic Radiology) to fulfill imaging requests, indexing and processing documents within The Breast Center imaging department and other duties assigned by director and supervisor.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work up the various Breast Center Schedules 5 days in advance.
Request prior images for 10 years as well as the reports.Manage and obtain Breast Center patients outstanding patient records including previous breast related exams, pathology reports, and other pertinent patient information as needed.Fulfill patient image and records requests for the Breast Center patients and any patients that are added on within 5 days prior to the patients appointment.Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information by updating, adding, and editing patient records and imaging exams into various EMR systems following departmental guidelines.Assist physicians/radiologists with various duties by requesting patient images and other patient records requests in a timely and proactive manner.Navigate EMR systems and scheduling systems.Maintain daily written or electronic documentation of completed work in order to provide clarity for future workflow evaluations.Prepares and processes correspondence of routine and STAT medical inquiries.Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Follow through on requests and maintain patient confidentiality while managing radiology exams and reports.Burn discs for patients upon request.Retrieve and upload patient records and previous exams for Tumor Board.Ensure outside exams are requested, received, and uploaded in a timely manner.Work closely with physicians and director on additional projects as needed.Any and all duties as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: As assigned by supervisor and director SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION: High School Diploma or GED, required EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: One year computer experience in a medical office setting, required.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical procedures.Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.Strong time management and organizational skills for use in a high volume, deadline driven environment.Computer and other basic office equipment skills including basic network/ file management.Technical skills and knowledge to request, upload and maintain patient records.Ability to gain understanding of various types of documents, correspondence, and the processes for various lines of imaging fulfillment as well as analyzing the content of documents.Proven ability to work wel...
