Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy services on a PRN basis.

This role focuses on helping residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
Key Responsibilities


* Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans


* Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals


* Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulations


* Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate


* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members


* Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning


* Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs


* Conduct staff training and in-service education


* Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies

Qualifications


* Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology


* Active South Carolina SLP license (in good standing)


* Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred


* Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred


* Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred


* Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
