Organizational Expectations:

As a Product Owner or Product Owner Senior on the Pay.gov Product Team, you will be responsible for leading, defining and driving the product roadmap, managing priorities within cross-functional teams and making smart, data driven decisions to have the biggest business impact.

You will support the organization by developing and implementing product offerings and processes to scale the business.

General Responsibilities:


* Works independently, with guidance only in the most complex situations, to make sound decisions.

Typically works outside of standard procedures.

Exercises considerable latitude when determining the technical objectives of assignments.


* Provides product leadership role for multiple or large-scale business lines or teams.


* Drives the implementation of new product offerings through clear communication, cross functional collaboration, agile delivery and project management.


* Leads the delivery of features and products that align with business strategy and vision and maximizes customer value.


* Represents the voice of the customer in various contexts.


* Gathers requirements, creates and refines epics, features and/or user stories and maintains, communicates and prioritizes the product backlog.


* Prioritizes delivery impediments, product quality issues, and addresses risks.


* Develop and maintain the product roadmap.


* Displays a subject matter expert level of understanding of product line and functionality within business where used.


* Displays an expert level working knowledge of software and technologies that support the products.


* Follow standards for Agile processes and seek opportunities to improve existing processes and partner across teams to establish new processes.


* Evaluate priorities and resources to identify where gaps exist and elevate those for resolution.
