Job Summary

The Master Data Specialist is responsible for the analysis, maintenance, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise master data across SAP and related business systems.

This role partners closely with business stakeholders to support operational activities, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional projects through data analysis, reporting, data quality monitoring, and process improvement.

The Specialist serves as a trusted resource for ensuring data integrity, enabling informed business decisions, and supporting enterprise data governance objectives.

This is a hands-on SAP master data role in a manufacturing environment where data accuracy directly impacts operations.

Job Location

This role will be remote, based in the US, with periodic domestic travel.

Job Responsibilities



* Analyze master data trends to identify opportunities for improved data quality, accuracy, and governance


* Create, maintain, and audit material, customer, vendor, business partner, pricing, and other master data objects within SAP and connected systems


* Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics that support business operations and management decision-making


* Perform data analysis to support business initiatives, process improvements, acquisitions, system enhancements, and organizational projects


* Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions


* Partner with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, and IT teams to understand data requirements and support business objectives


* Monitor data governance controls and compliance with established master data standards and policies


* Support testing, validation, and implementation activities related to master data processes and system changes


* Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
