Position Overview

The PRN RN provides professional nursing care and clinical support based on facility needs and scheduled availability.

The RN may work across various shifts and is expected to adapt quickly to the needs of the residents, nursing team, and facility.

The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, clinically confident, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
Resident Care


* Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care.


* Assess residents and recognize and respond appropriately to changes in condition.


* Notify physicians and responsible parties of significant changes as appropriate.


* Administer medications and treatments according to orders, care plans, and facility policies.


* Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules for accuracy and completion.


* Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.


* Perform vital signs, assessments, IV starts, and specimen collection as ordered and within scope of practice.


* Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.


* Monitor residents requiring increased observation or clinical attention.


* Address resident and family questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.


* Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
