What You'll Do

As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapy services that help residents reach their highest level of function and independence.

Key responsibilities include:


* Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.


* Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional performance.


* Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress and clinical observations to the supervising therapist.


* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and resident progress.


* Educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and home programs.


* Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.


* Participate in care conferences and contribute to discharge planning and resident goal setting.


* Follow facility policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.


* Promote a safe, positive, and resident-centered rehabilitation environment.

Qualifications


* Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


* Excellent organization and time-management skills.


* Passion for helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
