Director of Nursing
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strong leadership, management, and clinical oversight of our nursing department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide overall management and leadership of the nursing department, including staffing levels and clinical operations.
* Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards of care.
* Promote resident safety and ensure all residents are treated with dignity, respect, compassion, and professionalism.
* Develop, coordinate, and conduct ongoing in-service education and training for clinical staff.
* Lead the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and development of nursing department employees.
* Coordinate pharmacy services, including appropriate processes for the destruction of expired, discontinued, or otherwise unusable medications.
* Serve as a liaison between the facility, physicians, residents' families, and other healthcare providers.
* Collaborate with all departments to ensure comprehensive, coordinated, and high-quality resident care.
* Provide leadership and oversight for nursing department budgeting, financial management, and required reporting.
* Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and clinical requirements and ensure relevant information is communicated appropriately to staff.
* Participate in Quality Assurance (QA), Utilization Review, Patient Care Conferences, and other quality improvement activities.
* Coordinate the MDS process and ensure timely and accurate completion of assessments and care planning.
* Actively participate in state surveys, inspections, audits, and required follow-up activities.
