What will your job look like?
The Manager, Safety & Resolution is responsible for the administration, review, and oversight of all vehicle camera systems, including systems deployed across multiple vehicle types or service modes.
This role reviews vehicle camera footage, telematics data, and safety alerts to identify coaching opportunities, reinforce safe driving behaviors, and reduce preventable incidents.
The Manager, Safety & Resolution serves as a key partner to transportation providers and operators, using data-driven insights and coaching techniques to improve safety performance, regulatory compliance, and overall service quality.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about driver development, safety culture, and continuous improvement.
This position will be on site daily in our Austin, Texas location
What you’ll do:
Drive Cam Program Management
* Manage the intake, review, and retention of video footage, ensuring timely analysis of safety events, customer incidents, accidents, and operational deviations
* Evaluate incidents involving distracted driving, speeding, harsh braking, seatbelt compliance, following distance, cell phone usage, and other safety-related behaviors
* Classify and document events in accordance with MTM Transit policies and procedures
* Maintain accurate records of event reviews, coaching activities, and performance outcomes
Operator Coaching & Development
* Produce actionable data points and trend analyses to support operational management, targeted driver retraining, and continuous safety improvement initiatives
* Coordinate with Safety, Training, and Operations leadership to implement corrective actions, including coaching, retraining, and disciplinary measures when warranted
* Conduct coaching sessions with operators to address risky driving behaviors and reinforce safe driving practices
* Deliver constructive feedback using a coaching-first approach that promotes accountability and improvement
* Develop individualized performance improvement plans when necessary
* Recognize and promote positive driving behaviors and safety achievements
Safety Monitoring & Reporting
* Monitor operator safety performance metrics and identify trends requiring intervention
* Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports for client summarizing trends and outcomes of related interventions and program effectiveness
