Senior Consultant, Controllership - Federal Asset Accounting

Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies.

You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value.

Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Work You'll Do


* Prepare and support GPP&E and Inventory valuation packages.


* Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliations across financial and logistics systems; research and resolve variances to meet condensed reporting timelines.


* Design and execute risk assessments to identify process gaps and control needs.


* Perform substantive testing in accordance with the Financial Audit Manual (FAM).


* Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain documentation and investigate/remediate financial reporting discrepancies.

Qualifications

Required:


* Bachelor's degree


* 4+ years of experience in asset accounting and finance related function in support of federal clients


* 2+ years of audit remediation or financial improvement support


* Active Secret security clearance required


* Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 5 days per week in Prince George County, MD
