Summary: The Community Engagement Specialist supports the ICC services by mobilizing communities to address the emotional and behavioral health needs of youth, young adults, and families.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for fulfilling all duties related to emergency preparedness, evacuation, and client safety, including support of individuals who may not be capable of self-preservation, in accordance with TN Voices Employee Policies and TN State Department regulations and CARF Standards.

Duties & Responsibilities Community Engagement, Outreach & System of Care Collaboration Represent TN Voices in assigned regions by developing and sustaining community engagement activities that promote System of Care values, children's mental health awareness, and suicide prevention awareness.

Lead and participate in children's mental health acceptance events, collaborations, community outreach opportunities, and awareness activities in partnership with local and regional partners.

Develop, coordinate, and support Children's Mental Health Coalitions and local interagency collaborations within assigned regions.

Attend and actively participate in system of care-related meetings, advisory boards, councils, committees, workgroups, and community events within assigned regions.

Identify and engage community champions, faith-based organizations, schools, courts, providers, family groups, local leaders, and child-serving agencies to strengthen outreach and collaboration.

Promote and disseminate information regarding System of Care principles, community mental health resources, warning signs, and supports available for children, youth, young adults, families, and providers.

Coordinate and host informational booths at conferences, community events, and partner-requested outreach activities as assigned.

Assist with community needs assessments, outreach planning, and dissemination of findings or information as requested by program leadership or the State.

Training, Presentations & Public Awareness Provide System of Care presentations to community organizations, family groups, child-serving agencies, and other community partners within assigned regions.

Coordinate and provide QPR, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Training for Mental Health First Aid, or other State-approved trainings as requested and assigned.
