Inventory Systems Controller
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess High School diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, speak, and understand English.
Minimum of three years of practical experience in inventory management required.
Three years of practical experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking inventory is preferred.
Must be able to receive clearance from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATFE).
Be able to learn and follow BATFE regulations, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintain department compliance.
Possess strong understanding of and the ability to work in Microsoft Office software programs with proficiency in the use of Excel.
Familiarity with Inventory Systems required.
Inventory and warehousing experience required.
Background knowledge of ISO required.
Background in Statistical Process Control an asset.
Background knowledge of Military Standards helpful.
Be able to work and communicate well with others.
Must maintain confidentiality of all company related information.
Possess initiative and the ability to perform in an environment driven by deadlines, in a quality manner while handling a number of other key responsibilities.
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
Be able to work with little or no supervision and follow instructions.
Must represent department in Company meetings.
Be able to work all overtime as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Accurately enters all PbG inventory transactions in the Inventory Control (IC) System in a timely manner (Fireworks, Government and all other projects that include materials which are stored or used during production.) Performs annual physical inventories as well as periodic cycle counts for Government, Commercial and Fireworks products.
Reports discrepancies to Facility Manager and provides research to correct the errors per the inventory regulations Be actively involved and working closely with the Delanson Management and Radford I/C and purchasing departments for the planning, coordination and control of multiple manufacturing processes.
Communicate with the Facility Manager and I/C and Materials Manager in Radford on an as needed basis to ensure all inventory requirements are being met.
Must conduct all operations related to shipping hazardous and non-hazardous products via internal company trucks and drivers, common carrier and various contract carriers.
Performs loading and unloading functions of all inbound/ incoming and outbound/outgoing shipments.
Ensures all required paperwork is completed accurately for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Alerts direct managers for all inaccurate or missing paperwork.
Ensure all incoming shipments for inventory items are entered as the appropriate transaction in the inventory system and posted to update inventory as received and apply to the correct purchase order if applicable.
Must conduct all operations of receiving and stocking goods.
