The packaging machine operator will oversee the flow of production, troubleshooting, and repair of our production machinery and equipment.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with labelling, traying, and bagging machines, along with a strong commitment to minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities Operating machinery: Operate machinery daily based on the production schedule.

Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance schedules for all production machinery, including labelling, traying, and bagging machines.

Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and pneumatic issues to minimize production delays.

Equipment Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and performance.

Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Spare Parts Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and tools to avoid downtime due to shortages.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with production staff and supervisors to address equipment concerns promptly.

Qualifications Proven experience as a machine operator in a production/packaging environment.

Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting labelling, traying, and bagging equipment.

Strong mathematical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.

Ability to stand for extended hours and work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications At least 5 years of experience as a machine operator.

3 to 5 years of experience in fixing and troubleshooting.

Experience with automation systems.
