Terminal Manager

Position Summary

This position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region.

Essential Functions



* Promote and develop safe work behaviors in line with the companys safety programs and objectives


* Monitor hours of service for drivers; maintain compliance with all company and government regulations and policies


* Supervise performance of drivers to achieve incident free deliveries of every load


* Lead, manage, evaluate, and develop staff personnel


* Forecast terminal performance; evaluate performance and take corrective action to meet expense and financial forecast


* Engage local customers regularly to drive growth and enhance relationships


* Ensure maximum asset utilization

Qualifications



* Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry


* Excellent conflict resolution skills


* Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence


* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
