Smiths Interconnect, a Molex company, is seeking an Alignment Technician who is detail-oriented and reliable Assembler to join our production team in Salisbury, United States.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in our manufacturing operations by assembling components, systems, and subsystems with precision and care.

What You Will Do



* Operate assigned equipment as instructed


* Ensure equipment remains in good repair and calibration


* Align filters to correct radio frequency


* Read work instructions, performance specifications and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment to be used


* Test functional performance of systems, subassemblies and parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure and humidity.


* Calibrate test instruments according to specifications


* Connect test instruments according to specifications


* Connect unit to be tested to test equipment such as network analyzer


* Ability to interpret output signal of network analyzer (dBm vs frequency) while aligning tuning elements to meet specified parameters.


* Compare results with specifications and record test data


* Analyze test results on defective units to determine cause of failure


* Perform basic troubleshooting on assigned filters as needed


* Complete all assigned tasks with a high level of quality in time frame provided


* Assist Engineering in development of documentation and processes as it relates to the tuning function


* Assist/resolve product, process and design problems


* Test, troubleshoot and repair all types of filters

• Aid in development of annual operating budget plan

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos


* Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals


* Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations


* Read drawings, schematics, and process instructions


* Use mechanical inspection tools including but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, microscope


* Interpret technical documents


* Use hand tools to complete assigned tasks


* Identify process problems


* Learn & apply information in a timely manner


* Communicate effectively with peers and leaders


* Willingly work with others to achieve team goals


* Follow all company policies, procedures and work instructions

For this role, we anticipate paying $20.00 - $30.00 per year.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
