Platform Developer
Responsibilities
Autonomously identifies platform needs and proposes comprehensive solutions, architects solutions spanning multiple systems with complex interdependencies, leads technical debt reduction and platform modernization initiatives, establishes patterns adopted across the platform ecosystem.
This role includes responsibility for developing and supporting Oracle‑based solutions, including PL/SQL development and enhancements to systems that integrate with Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Designs, architects, and implements end-to-end platform solutions by evaluating requirements, selecting technologies, configuring services and applications, and developing custom code as needed.
This includes developing database‑driven solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and implementing Java‑based extensions or integrations for enterprise applications.
* Orchestrates multi-component solutions by integrating off-the-shelf software, cloud services, APIs, and custom code into cohesive platforms.
Participates in building and maintaining integrations with Oracle E‑Business Suite and other enterprise systems using REST APIs and related technologies.
* Evaluates and resolves technical constraints by analyzing dependencies and implementing solutions that balance immediate needs with long-term sustainability.
Troubleshoots issues across application, integration, and database layers, with emphasis on Oracle database objects and EBS‑adjacent components.
* Selects and implements technology stacks based on scalability, performance, security, and cost requirements across infrastructure and application layers.
Contributes to modernization efforts involving legacy Oracle assets or EBS customizations.
* Maintains comprehensive technical assets including documentation, runbooks, infrastructure as code, and deployment pipelines for team efficiency and platform reliability.
Utilizes Git‑based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and standard software development practices to manage application and database‑related changes.
* Drives platform evolution by identifying technical debt and enhancement opportunities.
Supports continuous improvement by optimizing PL/SQL code, Java services, integrations, and related platform components.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma/GED Required
A) Bachelor's Degree (Technical Degree Preferred) and 6 Years Relevant Experience
OR
B) 8 Years Relevant Experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Oracle Database development including PL/SQL, packages, procedures, triggers, and SQL performance tuning
* Oracle E‑Business Suite technical experience
* Oracle Forms and Reports
* Linux/Unix command‑line familiarity for Oracle‑related environments EBS concurrent programs, workflows, personalizations, and API usage
* BI Publisher
