Position Summary
The Warehouse and Logistics Process Engineer drives the implementation of the Schneider Production System (SPS) and leads continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations, material flow, inventory management, transportation, and logistics.
This role focuses on improving productivity, reducing costs, optimizing inventory accuracy, enhancing delivery performance, and supporting operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement
* Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and SPS initiatives to improve warehouse and logistics performance.
* Identify process inefficiencies and implement standardized, scalable solutions.
* Develop KPIs and drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements.
Warehouse & Material Flow
* Optimize warehouse layouts, storage systems, and material handling processes.
* Improve receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
* Support implementation and optimization of WMS and inventory management processes.
Logistics & Transportation
* Improve inbound and outbound transportation performance while reducing freight costs.
* Partner with carriers, suppliers, and 3PLs to enhance service levels.
* Monitor logistics metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Data Analytics & Projects
* Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
* Develop dashboards, reports, and business cases to support decision-making.
* Lead cross-functional projects involving automation, facility improvements, and process optimization.
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
* Support audits, inventory controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
* 5-10 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or process engineering.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Preferred Qualifications
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
* Experience with warehouse automation and material handling systems.
* Background in manufacturing, distribution, or fulfillment operations.
* Knowledge of TMS, WMS, and inventory optimization tools.
