We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Assistant helps maintain the physical plant and grounds of the facility.

You will ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This role involves performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep.

Key Responsibilities



* Perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.


* Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on building systems and equipment.


* Maintain facility grounds, ensuring walkways are clear, safe, and clean.


* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.


* Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.


* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and facility policies.


* Assist with waste disposal and keep maintenance storage areas organized.

Qualifications



* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Previous experience in building maintenance, handiwork, or a related trade is highly desirable.


* Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, painting, and carpentry tools.


* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.


* Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered mindset.


* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
