Your Role: Manufacturing Scientist/Technical Services Intern – Elanco Technology Center (Summer 2027) 

As a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Technical Services Manufacturing Sciences (TSMS) Lab team at our Elanco Technology Center (ETC), to deliver a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a manufacturing technical project, or implementation of new lab methods.

Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have network-wide impact. 

 

Your Responsibilities:  


* Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit  



* Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements  



* Learn about fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or quality control 



* Study design improvement processes  

 

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): 


* Education: Currently enrolled in a Biology (Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or other related) or Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering major 



* Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills  



* Strong organizational and time management skills  



* Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision 



* Previous laboratory experience
