Cashier/Sales Associate PT - Saginaw City

SUMMARY Maintain guest services, generate sales, operate cash register, assist in loss prevention, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, and pricing to ensure smooth flow of merchandise through store and efficient use of resources.

Provide customer assistance to improve sales and customer base.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain guest services Ensure each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest serviceMaintain an awareness of all product knowledge, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisementsAccurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at registers Store support Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock Constant observation of customers to ensure loss prevention Additional responsibilities Maintain compliance with VOA Michigan policies and proceduresEnsure that all duties are carried out in a timely and orderly fashion so that VOA Michigan functions in the most efficient manner possibleOther duties as assigned REQUIED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES Excellent customer service skillsAbility to process information/merchandise through computer system and registersGreat attitude with friendly personalityAbility to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentationAbility to freely access all areas of store including selling floor, stock area, and register areaAbility to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the storeAbility to move or handle merchandise throughout the store Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
