Position Summary: Enhance the Finance Office effectiveness by providing information management and accounting support consistent with the SCL mission while conducting accounting tasks and organizing administrative duties.
Provides support for the Purchasing office.
Provide back up for Accounts Payable and Account Receivable when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides intermediate-level, essential accounting and secretarial support for the Community Treasurer and finance department.Provides accounting support by assisting with routine financial tasks that include: Audit preparation & compliance documentation Treasurer and Assistant work on AuditMonth end and year end closing activities Backup for accounts payable functionsPrepares and makes journal entries accurately and timelyUtilizes accounting software to maintain and update financial records Maintains strict confidentiality and safeguards sensitive information in all aspects of operations.Prepares and codes checks/money for all deposits.Maintains petty cash with accurate recordkeeping and receipts.Sets up meetings for Committees, Board & Advisory Investment committee; both virtual and in-person meetings.Under Treasurers supervision, prepares and distributes agendas for SCL Board and Advisory Investment Committee, and other meetings which include: Accurately records and prepares meeting minutesDocuments meeting discussions and action items clearly and concisely Prepares and maintains detailed meeting minutes in a timely manner Reserves and prepares room for Board meetings.Coordinates with Transportation for distribution of car insurance, upkeep of files for owned vehicles, and tax exemption for Community owned vehicles and property.
Works with co-workers to maintain and prepares the Sisters personal income tax files in preparation for Tax Consultant to file taxes.
Opens, date stamps and distributes mail.Contact the Tax Consultant to set up the meetings.Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents as needed.Files information as requested by the Treasurer.Organizes files in storage room maintaining ...
