EHS Coordinator

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking a EHS Coordinator our Katy, TX headquarters.

This role will sit in office in Katy, TX.

What You Will Do


* Support the shop, warehouse, and office in EHS matters including safe permitting processes and incident investigations.


* Organize and participate in inspections to ensure safe operations and work practices.


* Develop and present EHS training as well as conduct new hire orientation.


* Assist in leading EHS committee activities and following up on action items.


* Drive environmental excellence such that compliance with all environmental rules and regulations is achieved.


* Manage the Katy SWP3 and required testing.


* Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying creative solutions to gaps in systems and processes.


* Develop a culture of trust with all OPD employees by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely response to employees concerns and requests.

Physical Demands:


* Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, cold, inclement weather, and high elevations.


* Lifting and carrying objects up to 60 lbs.


* Standing for extended periods of time.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience EHS support or Associates degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or other related science/engineering degree.


* Experience using Microsoft Office programs as well as learn proprietary software systems.


* Willingness to be CPR/AED/First Aid certified and certified under the Substance Abuse Testing policy.

What Will Put You Ahead


* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or other related science/engineering degree.


* Experience supporting a metal fabrication shop or heavy construction.


* English/Spanish bilingual.
