Master Scheduler (CA)
JOB SUMMARY The Master Scheduler will take ownership of the development and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule to develop production plans that effectively manage "man, machine, material" and enable plant efficiency targets to be achieved in a plastic injection molding facility with a diverse customer portfolio.
This position will be highly analytical and will work closely with both internal teams and with our customers, buyers and planners.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Scheduling • Work cross functionally (internally/externally) to prepare the MPS and drive alignment, delivery, and inventory results within the business unit.
• Analyze supply and demand trends, evaluate factors and develop/implement methods to gain improved results.
• Develop standard procedures for scheduling and related strategies and drive continuous improvement.• Use statistical analysis methods to develop production plans.• Compare forecasts to historical demand and deviations to develop improved forecast accuracy.• Develop and maintain product groupings and individual product forecasts/demand plans/production schedules.• Implement production and forecasting strategies to meet customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventories.• Report backlog status and align with MPS.• Proactively review material supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to support manufacturing.• Analyze, improve and control MRP settings to support an efficient flow of material in and out of the facility.• Schedule daily tool/die changes to align with Master Production Schedule and develop/broadcast daily production plans/priorities for teams across all shifts to meet customer demand.• Day-to-today creation/release work orders to the production group.
Verify work order completions as they complete.• Other duties or tasks may be assigned as necessary to support company objectives.Order Management• Review and approve all incoming purchase orders within each products specified LT/MOQs• Host daily reviews with Customer Service, Production and Shipping to coordinate status of open orders to ship On Time in Full (OTIF), expediting and rescheduling orders as needed.
• Integrate sales orders into the production schedule and coordinate availability of materials, supplies, and resources as needed to meet required dates.• Adjust and reflow orders as necessary to align with production outlook and to meet customer demand.Customer Service• Serve as a key contact to all our customers to provide timely, detailed, and professional updates to customer inquiries.• Proactively communicate with customers on order status.
