Housekeeping Manager

Manager to oversee hospital housekeeping department.

Must have a working knowledge of all housekeeping practices and procedures to include infection control and chemical usage.

Responsible for ensuring OSHA and State protocols are followed at all times; performs frequent quality assurance inspections; documents new hire training and ongoing annual training of procedures and guidelines.

Must work alongside staff periodically; possess the ability to motivate and maintain a healthy work environment; requires addressing issues with staff, interviewing and selecting staff, conducting performance evaluations.

Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate good judgement, problem solving, and decision-making skills, ability to react calmly and effectively in difficult, stressful, and emergency situations.

Requires creating and maintaining good relationships with providers, staff and managers throughout the hospital.
