Spicewalla is a chef-driven spice company located in Asheville, NC.

We offer fresh spices that are all packed and processed with care.

Spicewalla is a part of the Chai Pani Restaurant Group family, known around town as a great place to work.

Position Summary: The production team is the heartbeat of our operations, where we ensure the absolute best quality and consistency in the products we sell.

Throughout the week, the team works to complete pre-planned production runs, to replenish backstock and fill direct orders.

Each person works directly with the spices, both independently and as a team, filling various containers.

Part of each week includes labeling tins, making collections boxes, and assembling collections.

Basically, our team works steadily to create the mindblasting products we sell to our customers! Essential Duties: Identify spices and blends for packing Pack tin, jars, and bags to appropriate fill Packing methods can include independently filling both manually (with a scoop) or machine assisted (filling machine), as well as with a team on an assembly line Label tins and products for retail and wholesale orders Package filled and labeled tins into collection boxes Maintain production logs and label sign offs for Food Safety compliance Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) including wearing gloves, hairnets, and other PPE to ensure a sanitary work environment.

Daily clean up of work area Monthly deep clean of the factory Other duties may include helping unload spice deliveries, gathering supplies needed from the warehouse, and assisting in the fulfillment department We are currently looking for a Blending Team member.

This person will be part of the production team and will also work part of the time with a sub group to create our blends.

Tasks include following a recipe, mixing ingredients, and roasting and grinding as needed.
