The Metal Fabrication Melt Technician is responsible for the safe handling, segregation, and melting of customer precious metals submitted for recycling and account credit.

This role also supports casting grain production and assay sample preparation while ensuring accuracy, accountability, and adherence to safety standards throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities Promote and maintain a safety-first work environment while adhering to all departmental and company safety requirements.Segregate, melt, and process customer precious metals with a high level of accuracy and accountabilityOperate induction furnaces and related equipment to support production needsProduce and finish casting grain to quality standardsPrepare, weigh, and track assay samples using Oracle and other systemsMaintain accurate records of material movement and job weightsKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeComplete required training and support departmental goals as needed Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentBasic computer skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to safely operate equipment and machinery Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environmentFamiliarity with Oracle or similar inventory systemsExperience operating furnaces, tumbling equipment, or other industrial machineryMechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn specialized processes Work Environment & Physical Requirements Manufacturing environment involving furnaces, machinery, and precious metal processing equipmentRequired use of personal protective equipment, including steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, and other safety gear as neededMust maintain a clean-shaven face when working in designated areas requiring respiratory protectionAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
