Grants Manager
Position Overview The Grants Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of SVDP Louisville's grant portfolio -- currently representing approximately $4.25 million in annual revenue, including federal housing-related funding and private foundation grants.
This role converts an existing contractor relationship to a permanent staff position, bringing institutional knowledge, compliance ownership, and strategic prospecting capacity in-house.
SVDP Louisville has a strong Finance team that tracks grant spending and program teams that submit receipts connected to specific grant budgets -- a model validated by peer organizations.
The Grants Manager owns the funder-facing side: relationships, compliance, reporting, and portfolio growth.
Finance owns the financial compliance infrastructure.
Programs owns grant deliverables.
The Grants Manager connects all three.
Compliance Reporting Structure The Grants Manager maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Compliance/QI Manager (reporting to COO) for regulatory compliance oversight, federal reporting sign-off, and audit readiness.
Grant strategy, funder relationships, and portfolio growth remain with the CAO.
This structure ensures that compliance decisions -- particularly those related to federal funding under 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) -- are validated by a dedicated compliance owner with deep institutional knowledge of SVDP Louisville's regulatory obligations.
The Grants Manager and Compliance/QI Manager are expected to maintain a close working relationship with clear protocols for shared decisions.
