Job Summary The Knitting Operator is responsible for ensuring all required materials, documentation, and yarn are available for production setup.

This position performs machine string-ups, monitors product quality, conducts size checks, and supports efficient knitting operations.

Once trained, the Knitting Operator is responsible for operating 810 machines while maintaining quality and production standards.

This is a 1st shift position working 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.

* Responsibilities: Print and review all required production paperwork for ticket orders, including: String-up sheetTechnical write-up sheetSample garmentDimension sheetStyle box documentation (for hand-cut machines) Verify the correct standard, extension, dimensions, and materials are available before beginning production.

Check swatch book for color placement if more than one colorMake sure machine is strung up correctly according to string up sheetPerform machine string-ups.

Verify correct cone serial lot numbers are on the machineOrder yarn from the warehouseDouble tie cones on large ordersKeep machine clean and oiledMonitor knitted fabric for defects and quality issuesSign out ticket quantity produced at end of shift or when ticket is completed and approved by the Knitting TechnicianTransfer yarn used on Ticket and return unused yarn to inventoryAssist with general housekeeping and cleanliness of the department Follow all company safety policies and proceduresMaintain quality standards and report defects or equipment issues promptlyOther duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent
