Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop production-grade microservices, manage dependencies, and enable distributed tracing.

Lead DDD to transform monoliths into event-driven microservices.

Build RESTful APIs, implement circuit breakers, and produce OpenAPI documentation.

Design and optimize normalized schemas, execution plan analysis, table partitioning, indexing; author SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures for Terabyte-scale, high-concurrency enterprise databases.

Architect event-driven systems.

Develop and maintain UIs, build reusable, responsive components, and integrate frontends with backend microservices APIs.

Plan and execute migrations from monolith to microservices, create stored procedures and RESTful APIs for migration, and write scripts to bulk-migrate records with data validation and error handling.

Build CI/CD and add automated testing, SonarQube quality gates, security scanning, and blue-green deployments.

Orchestrate Kubernetes with HPA, resource quotas, Helm charts, and infrastructure-as-code to lower deployment costs and MTTR.

Implement observability, add distributed tracing, and configure custom dashboards and alerts for proactive incident management.

Produce technical design artifacts, system architecture, sequence, activity, and data flow diagrams.

Design database schemas and entity relationships for enterprise applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires 1 (one) year of experience with the following: Utilizing back-end development to deliver enterprise apps processing high-volume production transactions; Building enterprise workflow systems supporting multi-stage business processes, stakeholder collaboration, compliance controls, and integration with downstream systems; Conducting memory management and GC tuning using Java 8+ including lambdas, Streams API, concurrent programming; Developing Spring Boot applications; Implementing RESTful APIs, API Gateway patterns, and distributed tracing using microservices with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security; Authoring queries including multi-table joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions using PL and SQL stored procedure SQL technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle; Designing and structuring relational database schemas using normalization principles, keys, constraints, and ERDs to ensure data integrity, eliminate redundancy, and optimize query performance; Packaging applications into lightweight, portable Docker containers using Dockerfiles, multi-s...
