Purpose or General Objective:To assist with loading/unloading trucks and general transfer of merchandise.

Essential Duties: Continually load or unload trucks for daily store runsCorrectly follow all weighing proceduresTransfer seasonal merchandise and salvage merchandiseTransfer carts and Gaylords to the appropriate holding area within the plantFill out appropriate paperwork as requiredMaintain a safe and orderly work environmentFollow safety procedures and report injuries and safety hazardsMaintain good housekeeping skills including sweeping and cleaning work area at the end of shiftDevelop and maintain skills to adjust to increased level of truck runs and incoming merchandiseAbility to work productively without close supervision.Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all employees, participants, customers and consumers working with and for Goodwill Industries.

Additional Duties: Other duties as assigned by the Charlotte Plant Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, Operations Manager, Retail Director or Vice President of Retail and Donated Goods.
