The ideal candidate can independently lead ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits while also collaborating with project teams and mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM field with 3+ years of experience performing substantially all of the responsibilities identified in this job posting, OR an Associate degree in a technical, math, or science field with 5-10+ years of experience performing substantially all of the responsibilities identified in this job posting.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Experience with energy audits, building mechanical and electrical systems, controls, and energy-use analysis · Experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients Preferred: · 7+ years of related experience · PE license and/or industry certifications (CEM, CEA, LEED, CLEP, BPI, HERS, NABCEP) · Experience with commissioning, retro-commissioning, M&V, advanced field testing, and energy modeling software Responsibilities The Energy Engineer will lead energy and water assessments, conduct field investigations, analyze building performance, develop energy-saving recommendations, and communicate results to clients.
