Plant Maintenance Laborer

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Plant Maintenance Laborer to help maintain plant operations and equipment, ensuring maximum production and a safe work environment.

This role is responsible for routine plant maintenance, housekeeping, equipment operation, and general labor duties while supporting teamwork across production and delivery departments.

Key Responsibilities


* Perform daily plant maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.


* Maintain plant cleanliness and complete routine housekeeping duties.


* Identify and report maintenance issues to plant leadership.


* Assist with general labor tasks and operate small power tools as needed.


* Follow all company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.


* Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).


* Support coworkers and assist with additional duties as assigned.


* Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

Required


* High school diploma or GED.


* Must be at least 18 years old.


* Valid driver's license meeting state requirements.


* Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Preferred


* Two years of related maintenance, construction, or industrial experience.


* Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.


* Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or similar equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


* Ability to operate front-end loaders and skid loaders.


* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.


* Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills.


* Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools.


* Ability to work independently and safely with minimal supervision.


* Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements


* Lift and carry up to 50-100 pounds occasionally.


* Climb ladders and work at heights.


* Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.


* Work in confined spaces and on uneven surfaces.


* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Work Environment


* Outdoor and industrial plant environment.


* Exposure to moving machinery, dust, fumes, and varying weather conditions.
