Job Summary

A maintenance technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems within a facility.

This role is essential for ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently, minimizing downtime, and preventing costly breakdowns.

Job Responsibilities



* Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently.

This includes conducting routine inspections, checking for leaks, and testing equipment



* Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition and prevent breakdowns



* Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and their own expertise



* Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary


* Work with both electrical and mechanical systems within the facility


* Respond to emergency repair requests to address urgent issues and minimize downtime


* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory


* Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work, share information, and address issues


* Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency


* Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems once they are completed


* May be required to be on-call


* Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility


* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



* High school diploma or equivalent; Vocational or technical training certificate or associate's degree in related field a plus


* At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field


* Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to company safety standards


* Must have technical expertise of mechanical and electrical systems, problem-solving ability, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and communication skills


* Ability to diagnose issues with equipment and systems by using diagnostic tools, observing symptoms, and testing components


* Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools


* Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)


* Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions


* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
