QUALIFICATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:



* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL - Class A) with appropriate endorsements.



* Experience moving construction equipment is REQUIRED.

Familiarity with local and federal transportation regulations.


* The job consists of moving construction equipment, including safely loading, unloading and hauling the equipment to its destination throughout CT and New England.


* Must understand overweight routing as most of our loads require overweight permits.


* Must be able to apply for and manage their own permits.


* Knowledge of load securing techniques and weight distribution.


* Possess an understanding of the operation of various pieces of equipment, sufficient to load/unload from the transport vehicle.


* Ability to perform routing vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.


* Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.


* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.


* Ability to perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.


* Ability to perform work in daytime and nighttime conditions


* Strong communication skills for coordinating with ground crews and dispatch.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA and state agencies.

Protective equipment that is required for this position: Hardhat, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, safety vest/high visibility clothing for any work in the field.

Hearing protection.
