Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist will support the Ethicon Cincinnati EHS team in maintaining compliant, safe, and sustainable workplace operations, with primary responsibility for supporting and administering the site Radiation Safety Program.

Under general direction and supervision, this role serves as a key radiation safety resource while also providing technical and administrative support across broader EHS programs, including workplace safety, environmental compliance, sustainability, risk reduction, hazard assessments, chemical assessments, accident investigations, emergency response planning, and EHS Management System activities.

This position reports to the EHS Manager.

Responsibilities/Principal Duties :


* Support administration of the site Radiation Safety Program, with primary focus on Ohio radiation requirements, license conditions, company standards, and site procedures, while also supporting OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, Johnson & Johnson Worldwide EHS Standards, and applicable industry best practices.


* Implement radiation safety policies, procedures, and work practices for the safe use, storage, handling, transfer, and disposal of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment.


* Identify, document, and monitor radiation safety hazards, exposure concerns, contamination risks, and related impacts to people, property, and the environment.


* Maintain radiation safety records, including inventories, use logs, surveys, leak tests, training records, dosimetry records, waste records, and documentation for inspections, reviews, and audits.
