Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities


* Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans


* Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional independence


* Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist


* Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety practices


* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards


* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and interdisciplinary care teams


* Support patient-centered goals to maximize recovery and independence

Qualifications


* Current and active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license


* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


* Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills


* Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care


* Skilled nursing facility (SNF), rehabilitation, or post-acute experience preferred but not required


* New graduates are encouraged to apply
