Job Duties and Responsibilities As a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, you perform a variety of essential tasks that directly impact patient well-being and clinic efficiency.
You: Measures and records vital signs accurately, ensuring comprehensive patient assessments.Performs phlebotomy with precision and care, adhering to safety protocols.Manages and updates patient information within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, maintaining data integrity.Gathers comprehensive patient histories, preparing patients for examinations.Administers injections safely and competently, following physician orders.Utilizes medical terminology effectively in all communications and documentation.Ensures strict HIPAA Compliance in all patient interactions and data handling.Provides clear and concise patient education regarding procedures, medications, and health management.Assists physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments, anticipating needs.Collects and processes various specimens, ensuring proper labeling and handling for laboratory analysis.Prepares examination rooms and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and stocking supplies.Facilitates patient flow through the clinic, optimizing scheduling and wait times.
Required Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.Current certification as a Medical Assistant (e.g., CCMA, RMA, CMA).
Experience One year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
Knowledge/Skills Proficiency in Vital Signs Measurement and accurate recording.Expertise in Phlebotomy techniques and best practices.Strong working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.Skill in Patient History Taking, including detailed interviewing and documentation.Competence in administering Injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal).Comprehensive understanding of Medical Terminology.Thorough knowledge of HIPAA Compliance and patient privacy regulations.Ability to provide effective Patient Education in a clear and empathetic manner.Skill in Assisting Physicians during various medical procedures and examinations.Proficiency in Specimen Collection and preparation for laboratory analysis.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in a specialty clinic (e.g., cardiology, pediatrics, internal medicine).Familiarity with specific EHR systems used in our organization....
