Direct Support Professional
Summary/Objective The DSP/Supervisor is responsible for working with their crew in an injection mold facility.
All aspects of this position require an individual who is safety conscious, has an enjoyable, outgoing attitude, and wants to excel in a group employment workforce.
This position is responsible for enforcing and maintaining all policies and procedures.
This position is required to meet internal and external customer needs in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
Major Work Duties Essential Job Functions Train crew members on the following task or operations Operate injection molding machines and assembly equipment Safely use hand tools (clippers, knifes / trim tools & tape guns) Visually inspect parts for defects Label and assembled boxes Package product and palletize product according to the specs Palletize master cartoons according to specs Notify Production Supervisor of any nonconforming parts General housekeeping Effectively communicate problems and issues with management Enter daily hours, productivity and general data on tablets Provide non-medical transportation for clients Documentation & Administrative Tasks Record daily payroll in the company's payroll system Complete required tracking forms and documentation for individuals served Maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements Ensure confidentiality of all client and organizational information Team Leadership & Training Train and support team members in production tasks and workplace expectations Provide ongoing coaching to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met Foster teamwork, communication, and a positive work culture Communicate effectively with management regarding operational issues and team performance Safety & Compliance Follow and enforce all OSHA safety regulations and company policies Maintain and support safety programs, ensuring continuous improvement Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements Address and escalate workplace concerns or incidents appropriately Supervisory Responsibilities Must train and oversee crew members (per DODD rules and properly supervising and safety techniques, reviewing the training effectiveness) Must maintain a Safety Program for crew members, reviewing for continuous improvements Must maintain all crew members' ISPs, making sure the most recent ISP for each crew member has at the worksite (per DODD rules) Must follow MUI/UIR reporting procedures (per County Boards and the DODD rules) Must report any changes or behavior issues to the Training & Advocacy Support Manager, Service & Support Administrator (SSA), the Weaver Group Employment General Manager.
