Manager, State Government Relations
Schneider Electric is seeking a Manager of State Government Relations for the Southeast Region to support and advance the company's public policy priorities across key Southeast states, with a primary focus on Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
This role will be hybrid based out of Schneider Electric's Nashville Hub and will be responsible for representing the company in states that are home to some of Schneider Electric's most significant U.S.
manufacturing operations.
The Manager will serve as a key member of the North America Government Relations team, helping to shape state policy environments that support Schneider Electric's business priorities, manufacturing footprint, workforce needs, and commercial growth strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring strong state government relations experience, a deep understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes, and the ability to build trusted relationships with policymakers, trade associations, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The Manager will lead state government relations engagement across the Southeast portfolio, with responsibility for identifying, tracking, and influencing legislative, regulatory, and political developments that impact Schneider Electric's business.
Core responsibilities include:
* Develop and execute state government relations strategies across Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina, aligned with Schneider Electric's North America business priorities.
* Represent Schneider Electric before state legislatures, governors' offices, regulatory agencies, economic development entities, and other key stakeholders.
* Support policy engagement tied to Schneider Electric's manufacturing footprint, including issues related to energy affordability and reliability, workforce development, tax and economic development policy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and electrification.
* Partner closely with internal business leaders, plant leadership, legal, communications, sustainability, and commercial teams to ensure government relations strategies reflect business needs and operational priorities.
* Monitor and analyze state legislative and regulatory activity, providing timely insights, recommendations, and risk assessments to internal stakeholders.
* Build and maintain relationships with state policymakers, trade associations, chambers of commerce, peer companies, and coalition partners.
* Identify opportunities to elevate Schneider Electric's leadership in advanced manufacturing, energy management, grid modernization, and industrial competitiveness.
* Support site visits, policymaker engagement, executive briefings, and external events tied to Schneider Electric's Southeast operations.
* Manage external consultants, lobbyists, and association relationships as needed to support state advocacy objectives.
