Our company continues to grow so were looking for a talented individual to join our Engineering Team as a Mechanical/Structural Engineer at our Sumter, SC office.

Develop mechanical and structural solutions for customers in concert with Salesand company leadershipPerforms load calculations as needed for platform structures and relatedaccessories (stairs, ladders, racks, etc.)Manages multiple assignments, developing solutions that range from simple toextremely complexLeverages existing deployed designs for new applicationsReviews, approves, and implements mechanical engineering standards, policies,and proceduresProvides technical engineering input for estimating and bid proposal requirementsInterprets external codes, regulations, specifications, and the like to determineimpact on designsDevelops computer simulations to predict how structures will react under differentconditionsMay manage and direct outside consultants to develop engineering documentsCoordinates securing PE stamps for respective states as neededParticipates in the management of larger mechanical / structural engineeringprojects assignedAudits existing mechanical systems/solutions and recommends solutions to improveMeets internal and external deadlines and project target dates.

Communicatesvariances to schedulesMay lead product development/improvement projects as neededPerforms full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes,manufacture, and implementation)Designs systems and components that meet customer/industry requirementsTests and evaluates theoretical designsEvaluates final products overall performance, reliability, and safetyEstimates project budget and scope and prepares product reports/documentationDevelops best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve performanceof Engineering Team and company results.Other duties as business needs require.
