Shift: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend and evening shifts as needed by the program

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.50 per hour

The hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50 for employees hired in the Contra Costa, Antioch, CA area.

Position Summary

The Childcare Provider is responsible for the care and supervision of children at the First 5 Center while parent/caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops.

Major responsibilities include providing supervision of children, engaging children in age appropriate activities, providing children snacks, greeting parents/caregivers at drop-off & pick-up times, and preparing and keeping clean the child watch area.

Youth Support


* Provide supervision to children whose parents or caregivers are participating in Center classes or workshops.


* Engages children in child watch in age appropriate activities.


* Prepares and provides snacks to children when indicated.


* Prepares and cleans Child Watch area before and after sessions.


* Greets parents/caregivers at pick-up and drop off times.
