About the Role / Summary Provide and direct medical services to Serenity Lane Hospital, Residential, and MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) services.
Offer consultation to Serenity Lane clinics upon request.
As a member of the Executive Team, you will play a vital role in shaping clinical leadership, organizational strategy, and patient care protocols across the continuum of services.

Functions (What Youll Do) Essential Functions: Direct medical care through LMPs, resident physicians, and nursing staff Serve as a member of the Executive Team for organizational leadership Collaborate with the Director of Medical Operations (DMO) to identify objectives and key results (OKRs) quarterly for self and department Participate in hiring Licensed Medical Providers (LMPs) and supervise them When treating patients, complete admission history and physical exam to determine appropriateness of treatment, level of care, and detoxification needs Assess appropriateness and stability for the next level of care Attend daily 10 a.m.
staff meetings on duty (weekdays or weekends) Attend Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) meetings Share fiscal responsibility with DMO for the medical department, assisting with budget planning, statistical reporting, and policy development Operate within the approved annual budget for Medical Departments Chair the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee Chair the Credentialing Committee Direct the Healthcare Professionals Program Interact with state and federal agencies on behalf of healthcare professional patients Conduct lectures on disease concept, nicotine, and sleep disorders (6 hours monthly) Conduct Counselor-in-Training sessions quarterly on disease, pain, HIV/STDs, and co-morbidity Attend and participate in Serenity Lane Board of Directors meetings and Board Retreats Monitor and update treatment protocols for alcohol, benzodiazepines, cannabis, opiates, and other intoxicants Maintain CME and board certification in Addiction Medicine, state licensure, DEA registration, and required Buprenorphine training Additional Functions: Oversee outpatient MAT protocols Teach or delegate training of medical students from OHSU and Western College of Medicine Oversee or delegate orientation, curriculum, and schedule of psychiatry residents from Good Samaritan 4.
What Were Looking For (Requirements) Required: Board Certification in Addiction Medicine Current Medical Practitioners license from the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners Demonstrated competency in family practice, internal medicine, and/or addiction medicine Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in family or internal medicine with detox and addiction treatment experience Proven leadership experience in a healthcare organization Preferred: Prior executive or senior medical leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment 5.
