Financial Services Officer

About the Role: The Financial Services Officer proactively works with members and prospective members to assess their financial needs, provide accurate information and appropriately communicate product and service benefits and features in order to cross-sell and open accounts.

Accurately handle member transactions, review member financial needs and open appropriate account types, quickly, accurately, and efficiently while adhering to the Credit Union's policies, guidelines and procedures.

This position is located at our Santa Cruz Branch.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday Saturday (rotating Saturday coverage.) What youll be doing: Build strong financial relationships by assessing member needs and promoting appropriate Bay Federal products and services Accurately open, maintain, and close all types of deposit and loan accounts while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures Process consumer loan requests from application through funding, including document collection and completion Provide expert assistance with IRAs, Trusts, Death Claims, and Business Services, including accurate transaction processing Support members with digital services such as Online/Mobile Banking and Bill Pay setup and troubleshooting Stay current on and apply all NCUA and Federal Regulations related to financial transactions and disclosures Lead or support daily branch operations including opening/closing duties and non-cash lobby tasks Youre Perfect For This Role If You Have: A high school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years of experience in a financial institution, specifically opening new consumer and business deposit accounts.

Proven success in relationship building and sales.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (bilingual is a plus.) Strong math skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Internet, and Intranet tools.
